Raises this value to the given non-negative exponent and returns the result as a Long.

Uses exponentiation by squaring with checked multiplication: any intermediate or final overflow of Long throws ArithmeticException instead of wrapping. Throws IllegalArgumentException when exponent is negative. 0.pow(0) is 1L.
