expect val programs: List<Program>

The container's programmes, each a set of streams that play together, such as the channels of a transport stream multiplex. Empty when the container declares none, as MP4 and Matroska do not. Every stream index in it names one of streams. See Program.

The open lists what it found, and a live transport stream can change them while it plays: a new programme table adds a stream to a channel or takes one out, as when a channel moves its sound to a new stream at a programme boundary, and a new service table renames a channel. The read during which FFmpeg applies such a change replaces this list, as reads replace streams, and the first packet a reader hands out after it carries the new list as Packet.newPrograms (#151).
