paced
A speed, scaled by how lively the music is.
This is the most important line in the library. How fast something moves is the strongest signal a viewer has for how busy the music is, so a rate that ignores the music makes a ballad and a drum track look alike however carefully the sizes are mapped. A slow idle drift keeps silence alive; short energy and kick envelopes respond immediately while section mood changes more gradually.
